Bilingual Financial Controller (Spanish/English)
Emerald Coast is looking for a full-time, dynamic, highly motivated, goal oriented and analytical achiever with excellent skills in administration, accounting, team building and fiscal experience. This position contributes to the success of the Emerald Coast Executive Team by providing timely, accurate, and valuable financial management support.
Key responsibilities required to attain this outcome include but are not limited to the following:
• Administer and control internal accounting systems
• Sound staff development skills
• Business planning, budgeting, and forecasting
• Financial Analysis (SWOT)
• Enhance internal controls
• Internal financial reporting and interface with external services (accounting, legal, banks, audit and payroll firms)
• Investigate and implement international tax strategies
• Demonstrate high levels of technical and professional knowledge and quickly assimilate new knowledge
• Keep up-to-date with current developments and trends in financial services and industry knowledge
• Aid in evaluation of new investments, business opportunities, and project valuation
• Raising capital
• Inventory and Experience (Mandatory):
• MBA, Masters of Finance, Accounting, or CP or CPA equivalent
• A minimum of 5 years relevant experience in providing expertise that impact the accounting and finance function
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, principally Microsoft Excel
• Experience making presentations, managing multiple projects and providing direction to team members
• USA experience preferred, not required
• Real Estate or Development experience preferred, not required
Knowledge & Skill Requirements:
• Leadership Skills
• Develop relationships with team members across all EC businesses to serve company and client needs
• Familiarity of Real Estate Law (preferred)
• Bilingual Spanish/English (Strong communication, verbal and written)
• Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations and institutions
• Ability to work independently with limited instruction
• Candidates must be detail-oriented and have demonstrated sharp analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills and must have the ability to prioritize responsibilities
Working Conditions:
• Willingness to travel (e.g. clients, seminars, training); USA Travel Visa preferred
• Requires willingness to work a flexible schedule
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment (and know when to lead and when to follow)
• Must be professionally presentable
• Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Work may require occasional weekend and/or evening work
